Called Up started with both of us wanting to see Christian baseball players unite to see the gospel go forth into locker rooms, organizations, and the nations (Matthew 28:19, John 17:6-26, Ephesians 4).
We realize being a Christian athlete can feel lonely and isolating when you seek to live the life Jesus has called you to live. We want to find the guys who are pursuing Jesus and create a space for them to grow and be discipled through testimony, gospel talks, and lessons on what practically following Jesus looks like. We are starting with monthly Zoom calls as a way to create a community of Jesus followers from all over the country. We want to encourage them, stir their faith, and see their heart for their teams grow through the revelation that their team is a mission field and that it is the heart of God to see all come to know Him.
We want to make disciples who make disciples. The goal is to disciple these guys so that they can bring the Kingdom of God into their own teams and locker rooms through learning to love God and love others. We will teach them how to run a discovery Bible study to see their teammates discover Jesus and how to be His disciple.
